Azure Standard is a group buying and drop delivery company offering high quality and organic products in bulk or small quantities.

Do you want to find better quality or organic products for your family? I know I used to spend a lot of time trying to source the best food I possibly could. I would spend hours on different websites comparing prices and trying to make sure that the companies I was buying products from, were companies that shared my values..
Azure Standard videos kept popping up on my suggested videos on YouTube. I follow several homesteading YouTubers and several of them began showing their Azure Standard hauls. After digging deeper and learning about their company, I felt a huge sense of relief that I had finally found a trustworthy source to buy food for my family.
What is Azure Standard?
Azure is a family owned company that is based out of Oregon. They sell everything from grains, canned goods, spices and other pantry staples, to fresh produce, household supplies, and personal care items. They pride themselves on producing high quality and better-for-you products. Azure also partners with other companies who have the same values and quality standards, so they can be a one-stop-shop for all things clean, natural, and organic.
How does Azure Standard Work?
As a customer, you go to their website and add items to your cart, just like any other online shopping experience. When you’re ready to check out, you can either choose to ship your items to your house, or participate in a local drop site pickup.
Out of Stock or Low Stock Items
One thing to be aware of is how their “out of stock” items work. Unlike other online shopping experiences, if you check out and purchase an item, it does not mean it will be shipped to you. Pay attention to the number of “in stock” items they have. If the stock is really low and your shipping date is several weeks in the future, you may not get your item. They may have items in stock when you purchase, but they might go out of stock before your order ships.
To combat this, I have two main things I do. First, I wait to check out until right before my deadline. About a week or so before your items ship, you will have a shopping cut-off. You will see this cut-off date after choosing your drop site, which I will discuss below. I simply add items to my cart whenever I think of them, then check out the day of my cut-off.
Second, I watch the quantity of items in stock, and choose either a different product or a different size of the same product. For example, the 50 lbs bag of rice might be low in stock, but the 10 lbs bag have higher numbers. I will add several smaller bags to my cart if I really need the item. Otherwise, if your chosen item goes out of stock, you will not be charged for it and you can try again next month.

Is There a Membership Fee for Azure Standard?
There is no fee for being an Azure customer! Additionally, you do not have to order every time there is a drop. You can order at whatever frequency suits your needs. My drop comes once per month but I have heard of some coming biweekly. Once again, you can also ship items to your house anytime.
Do you Have to Pay Shipping for Azure Standard?
Shipping prices are based on weight and tend to be on the higher side. If you are buying several items in bulk, your shipping costs will quickly add up. Alternately, when you participate in a group drop, your shipping costs are shared amongst other people in your drop. Our drop has a flat 8.5% shipping cost of your total order.
How do I Find my Azure Drop Point?
When making your account, after entering your location, you will see drop location options. You select your drop point and are now a part of that group drop. Your items will be shipped on a semi truck to your drop point location. Every drop location has an assigned drop coordinator. Your drop coordinator is typically another local person who loves Azure Standard and orders from them as well.

How do Azure Drops Work?
Drop Coordinators will communicate with you leading up to the drop about the schedule. Delays are possible and sometimes happen. When you place your order, they will give you an estimated week to expect the delivery. It could be any day or time within that week.
This is the biggest drawback I hear about using Azure Standard. You need to be available for a drop time any time of the day. We have had drops as early as 7pm and as late as 8pm, as well as any and all days of the week. My drop coordinator is generous enough to offer to take items back to her house if needed but not all drop coordinators have this ability.
When you arrive at your drop location, check-in with your drop coordinator to double check your order and number of boxes. Azure reuses boxes and packs as many items as possible into boxes. Your 10 items may come in 1 box or 3 boxes depending on size, weight, quantity, etc.
Each drop functions slightly different, but my experience is that unloading the truck is a group effort. The driver will bring items to the back of the trailer and everyone lines up to grab an item, one at a time. After you identify the person’s name to which the item belongs, you find their name tag on the ground and start stacking items in their pile. Our drop coordinator arrives extra early to lay out everyone’s name tags in a long line so we can efficiently unload. After the truck is completely unloaded, double check your items to make sure nothing was forgotten or left on the truck. It has happened before.
Can I Still Order If I am Unable to Help Unload?
If you are unable to lift heavy items or unable to unload at all, don’t let this stop you! There are always so many willing and able bodies available to do the heavy lifting. If you are unable to unload, just offer a smile and a thank you to those that help. Everyone is always so kind and willing to help. I have helped several people load their orders. I have also received several offers to have my car loaded for me. Everyone is always very generous.
How does Azure Customer Service Work?
Azure has great customer service. If there are any issues with your items, Azure is always willing to work with you to rectify the problem. Review your order and inspect for issues as soon as possible. The sooner you identify an issue, the sooner they can help make it right.
